Description
However, this intricate take on Michael Jordan‘s fourth signature sneaker is unquestionably the most lavish “Sashiko” style of the bunch. It’s mostly covered in patterned navy fabric, but heartily plays up its patchwork ethos with patches of red on the right shoe’s toebox and left shoe’s medial heel. There’s also some sail-based pieces on the right shoe’s lateral mudguard and medial collar plus the left shoe’s lateral eyestays. More than a half dozen patterns in total are present across the build.
Moving to the heel, Jumpman-equipped tabs are done up in semi-translucent blue TPU to match the signature midfoot “wings.” The Air Jordan 4’s quarter and tongue would typically boast three-dimensional “netting,” but here that familiar embellishment is cleverly represented by embroidered details. Laces are split between navy on the left foot and red on the right foot. Down below, the look is finalized by crisp three-tone midsoles with a richly-colored heel Air Max unit.
