Description
The inspiration for these court-centric sneakers comes from Marion County, South Carolina, the very place where the New Orleans Pelicans All-Star spent much of his formative years and fostered his competitive spirit. It was here that his mother Sharonda Sampson instilled the importance of hard work and where his father “Coach” Anderson educated him on the greatness of Michael Jordan and the fundamentals of the game.
Zion references the lotus flower here as a means of visually articulating that despite going through many hardships, he still managed to blossom into the successful athlete he is today. Uppers are mostly crafted with silver synthetic paneling, and come dressed with burgundy collars and overlays as well as hits of pink that appear on the tongues, lace loops, outsoles and forefoot underlays.
