Description
It was recently unveiled alongside popular streetwear label Supreme in the form of an autumnal “Wheat” and palette, and it’s swiveling our attention back to its mainline in the form of a fresh “NAI-KE” colorway. The latter is a call back to the 1980s — a time when Nike linked up with its China-based factory to produce an assemblage of test running shoes dubbed “The One Line” series. The essence of that capsule has been revitalized onto this AF1, and its official images have just emerged.
Designed with somewhat of a prototype-inspired vibe, the uppers of these kicks are fashioned with lighter gray suede panels along the forefoot, toe boxes and heels, while white accents are positioned on the quarters, heel overlays and interior lining. Instead of the customary “Nike Air” notation that is parked on the rear, the embroidery here states “NAI-KE” and the inside areas of the tongues spell out “Elevating Inner Peace Through Sports.” Moreover, tiny splashes of a deeper shade of blue appear around the first set of lace loops as well as the stripe that sits on the lower portion of the midsole towards the back.
