Description
a little recap of the 1906. If that number sounds familiar, that’s because it was the year New Balance was founded, and it’s also the name of the top-end running shoe the brand released in late 2009. It would share some DNA with the OG 2002 – chiefly its midsole – but its luxurious successor has since returned in recent years, albeit with new cushioning. Now, the 1906 is taking after it and comes back in similar hybrid format, again sharing the same midsole as the 2002R, which is owed to the 860v2.
As for thisisneverthat’s contribution, their functional and tech-leaning aesthetic sees this 1906 dressed up in sporty mesh and synthetic, which, at first glance, looks to be its MO in its white and silver colourway. But a closer look sees brown overlays and faux dirt and rust details, making for a decidedly casual shoe.
